Uruguay is known for its progressive social policies, legalizing same-sex marriage and abortion, as well as its high levels of social equality and low levels of corruption. The country has a strong agricultural sector, particularly in beef and dairy production, as well as a growing tourism industry. The national football team is also highly successful, winning the FIFA World Cup in 1930 and 1950.
