Kamala Devi Harris is an American politician and attorney who is currently serving as the Vice President of the United States. She made history as the first female, first Black, and first South Asian American vice president in the country’s history. Prior to being elected as Vice President, Harris served as the Junior United States Senator from California from 2017 to 2021 and as the Attorney General of California from 2011 to 2017. She also previously served as the District Attorney of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011. Kamala Harris is a member of the Democratic Party and has been a trailblazer in American politics, advocating for criminal justice reform, healthcare access, and women’s rights.
